Drunken Hog BBQ will be opening a permanent location inside of our taproom.
Drunken Hog BBQ will take over space previously occupied The Farmstand Cafe that opened in March. The Farmstand Cafe posted this message on Facebook:
With a heavy heart, we wish to announce that The Farmstand Cafe at Wooden Cask will soon be closing our doors. Our last day of business will be Sunday, October 13. We appreciate everyone who came by and supported us, and also Wooden Cask Brewing Company for having us. You can still visit us in Union at The Farmstand Market & Cafe. Thank you again for your support.
Initially serving friends and family since 2010 over the years with his cousin, and now co-pitmaster David Beckmeyer, Drunken Hog BBQ founder Trevor Gorman wanted to turn his newfound interest into something more. After years of working pop-ups, it was time to take the next step.
“We have been working towards this since our first event; slowly growing organically over the last couple of years doing pop-ups and catering,” Gorman said. “So, when the opportunity came to partner with Wooden Cask Brewing and open our first permanent location, we couldn’t pass it up! It felt like the perfect move to grow the business. We have a real passion for BBQ and we are so excited to share that passion with everyone.”
Serving traditional BBQ staples, as well as weekly and daily specials, Drunken Hog BBQ plans to offer pulled pork, pulled chicken, smoked sausage, and multiple side items to choose from with an extensive menu on the weekend featuring brisket, beef ribs and chicken wings. Drunken Hog BBQ will continue to cater for events and parties inside Wooden Cask and as well as outside the taproom.
While we are sad to see The Farmstead Cafe leave, we are excited about the new opportunity. “We look forward to our new partnership with Trevor, David, and Drunken Hog BBQ,” said Karen Schiltz, co-owner and CFO of Wooden Cask. “We see how passionate they are about BBQ and we think our customers are really going to enjoy them and their new menu.”
Drunken Hog is set to open in mid-October. To stay up-to-date on information regarding the new partnership, visit us and Drunken Hog BBQ on Facebook or visit woodencask.com.
