Enjoy a well-balanced menu of beers in our spacious taproom in Newport, Kentucky. Here you’ll find small-batch beers, featured weekly. And we offer unique, barrel-aged beers on a seasonal rotation. Stop in and take a flight of four, enjoy a couple of pints or, if you’re on the go, fill up a growler or craft your own 6 packs! Our amazing variety will keep you coming back for more!
We have beers starting from light ales to our full-bodied, robust stouts and porters. No matter your taste, Wooden Cask has a beer you’re sure to enjoy! And for the non-beer drinker in your party (poor soul!) we have a cider on tap and a full-bar to keep them refreshed and happy!

Newport's Unique Architecture

Located on beautiful, historic York Street, our building has a rich history. It was home to the infamous Flamingo Club, a popular nightclub that offered illegal gambling throughout the ‘40’s and 50’s. It became the Jockey Club in the ‘80s and one of the best venues in the Midwest to catch Punk bands live while imbibing cheap Foster’s. Today, we’ve polished up this gem for a new era of beer drinking, music, and fun!

Drunken Hog BBQ is now open inside our taproom. If you come in for dinner and get a pulled pork sandwich, that pork shoulder was put on the smoker 8-12 hrs prior. Nothing is reheated, you cannot replicate or substitute the flavor of meat fresh off the smoker. All of their rubs and sauces are made in house. They have fine-tuned those recipes over the years to go perfectly with their smoked meat. They keep it simple, the star of the show here is the meat and the smoke.
